About Artist Shirlee Hildebrandt

Shirlee is a self taught artist who paints with expression, often portraying nature as a feeling.

"I find great joy in painting old trees and try to capture the intricate layers that, although not perfect, show real life and beauty in their growth, determination, imperfections and brokenness. I'd like my art to bring out deeper emotions in people that often can't be explained by words."

Shirlee loves to experiment with different styles and textures. At the moment her favourite is abstract and abstract nature.
